St Moriz Mousse Tan Review

Image
Before the start of summer I had a goal: Start fake tanning! I tan pretty well in the sun, but that doesn't happen too often because I am I can be pretty adamant about reapplying sunscreen. A goal is to keep my skin looking as youthful as possible & not getting burnt helps! Anyway, I knew I wanted to try and be more tanned this summer without needing to be in the sun, & I only needed to hear from one youtuber [[laurenbeautyy]] about a certain brand of tanning products and I pretty much bought it after she said the name, without reading any other reviews because it sounded too good to miss. The wonderful product I have come across is by a brand named St Moriz. This particular product is said to be a dupe of St Tropez, but 3/4 of the price. I bought mine on eBay for a whole total of $12 including shipping, when St Tropez is around $40 in Australia! I've tried gradual tanners before but they have started to bore me, and I wanted to try an instant tan for something diff...

And the winner is....

Hey guys! The time has come for me to announce the giveaway winner. Thank you so much to all that entered, I enjoyed reading your 5 products! And to the winner I hope you enjoy the prize! ^.^ So the question I got you all to answer was "If you were stranded on a deserted Island what 5 products would you bring?" I may or may not have accidentally had it as "desert" island which I don't think is possible! Also if you were stranded you wouldn't be able to choose which products to bring & I doubt you would care about them :P Here are my 5 products... 1. Lucas Paw Paw Ointment : To use as a lip balm, for bites, (I attract all mosquitoes so it would come in handy), cuts & all that fun stuff. 2: Face of Australia Face Base Primer: a HG product for me that would double as a moisturizer. 3. Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation: Just because I love this foundation... 4. DMK Transdermal Sunscreen : Don't want to get burnt now.... 5. Aand finally.... probably a dry...

First product purchases for 2013

Image
Although I technically ordered a couple of these products before the end of last year, I have received them within the new year with much excitement & unfortunately, a little bit of disappointment. So here are my newest acquired makeup products for the year. First up, my number one baby at the moment. I have been wanting this for soo long so when it finally came back into stock from www.kissandmakeupny.com I had to buy it. I'm sure most of you have heard about it/seen it/ tried it before but it is everything & more. I don't have too many "high end" products so when I do get them I cherish them. It is the perfect colour, doesn't look muddy & orangey, it has a slight shimmer but nothing to upset the face if you use it for contouring, which it is good for, too.  www.ozsale.com.au had another China Glaze sale on not too long ago. Unfortunately when I opened the packet I could smell nail polish straight away, & I knew something had gone terribly wrong. ...

Mini Review: Beauties Factory Brush Cleaner

Image
I've needed a new brush cleaner for the longest time, & when I came across the Beauties Factory Brush Cleaner it was the perfect price to give it a go. Brush cleaners are awesome for spot cleaning in between use although it should not be replaced with deep cleansing which I do not get to do as much as I'd like.. although it is quite the chore!  This bottle has an opening at the top, instead of a spray... which is ideal for me because the last brush cleaner I tried using didn't squirt so I would have to undo that every time I wanted to use it! It is easy to control how much comes out as it has a reasonable opening that ensures that it wont rush out all at once. It is easy to pour out by tipping it upside down against a paper towel or tissue, where you can run the brush over it. This brush cleaner has a reasonable drying time, however, depending on how dense the brush is it may take longer. Like with my Real Techniques contour brush (which I use for blush), after swiping ...

My NYE makeup

Image
Hey guys, once again sorry for another late post with my New Years Eve makeup! I've been so busy this week to be able to get around to posting it. So I hope everyone had a great night partying, or whatever you did :) We had the hottest day on new years day that we've had in a long time.... 46.C or 115 F.! Which kinda sucked because it was way too hot for the beach :( Anyway, it was humid on NYE especially when I was getting ready, so ignore the creasing!   So of course being NYE I had to add glitter to the look. I was a little bit inspired by Lisa Eldridge's party makeup look with the shape & colouring, and wanted it to match my dress without being too matchy-matchy.  ~Products~ Face : Australis Paparazzi Perfect foundation, Garnier BB Cream Physicians Formula mineral glow pearls in Beige Pearl MAC Lightscapade MAC Peachykeen Eyes : Essence I Essence mousse eyeshadow in Black as a base applied in a winged shape with Maybelline Color Tattoo in Edgy Emerald applied to the...

More Christmas... Makeup & Nails

Image
Sorry this is a bit late, as everyone is already out of the Christmas mode as it comes to NYE! I didn't want to leave it any later, so this will be my last post for 2012. Can't believe the year is coming to an end, it went by so quickly, feels like just yesterday I was getting ready for last NYE. So yeah, here is my Christmas Eve & Day Makeup. Christmas Eve I had been wearing very similar makeup all day for work, so I just touched up my foundation with a bit of Garnier BB Cream, added more blush & fixed the eyes.   I like how warm toned this picture turned out.  Quick Product Breakdown~ Cheeks: MAC Pink Swoon Eyes: BH Cosmetics Day & Night: Gold [inner lid], bronze [lid], shimmery taupe [crease] Lips: MAC Myth with a coral ligloss over the top [hadn't re-touched it for a few hours so it's worn off a fair bit]   My OOTN, this sequined top is by Ally fashion & is actually sheer so I wore a bandeau bra underneath. I felt it was nice & Christmassy :) I...

My Christmas Goodies & Pictures

Image
I hope everyone had a merry christmas & got everything they asked for! ^.^ I want to share a couple of beauty related goodies that I received. I received this adorable strawberry-heart shaped tin & almost died! I will most definitely find another use for it once I take the products out, which are from The Body Shop & includes the strawberry body polish (I used to use this years ago & loved it), 2 nail files, A High Shine Lip Treatment & a body butter. Everything smells delicious!  From my brother I got this Sex in the City body lotion & perfume pack, although I thought it was a board game until I opened it :P Each type (love, lust, kiss) has it's own smell which matches it's identidy. From my lovely partner (although I did pick it out :P) I got the VS Sassoon Big Hair Styler 1000, which is the newer model. I wanted it after seeing ChloeMorello use it & I thought since I wash my hair at night & it is still a bit damp in the morning, I can use ...
