Yesterday I visited All Star Lanes where Barry M hosted their Spring 2015 launch.  I remember the day I got the invite, I was so excited. As you all know Barry M is my most fave UK brand, their nail paints are always amazing & I adore the way they've moved into collections, funky lids and quirky names. It was like Christmas Day & my Birthday rolled into one.  The venue was decked out in gorgeous pictures of their new products and goodie bags littered all available spaces. A choice of 2 cocktails (minus the alcohol) were offered plus a large selection of food and nibbles. I was immediately shown the new Speedy polish, the star of the show & the reason we were at the amazing bowling alley, and then was talked through the rest of the sparkling new releases. There were 2 tables set up for manis, the lovely ladies @toptwentynails & @nailsbymets were there to show us the new Speedy Quick Dry nail paints. Another edition of On Wednesdays We Wear Pink ... check me out doing a regular feature on my blog again. It's so nice to be blogging a bit more and also having the time to do it. Today I have 3 gorgeous pink Barry M nail paints from their classic line and 2 glitter toppers. These nail paints have been out for a while but they're still being sold now (bar 1 topper) and they're all super gorgeous. Strawberry Ice Cream is a yummy pastel pink colour. It applies easily, if a little shear on the first coat. It builds right up on the second and even if it needs a third, it dries well. I used 3 thin coats, no topcoat for the photo. Bright Pink is a medium pink shade with a slight blue undertone. Although this shade is pretty standard, the formula is great on this polish and I love it. The other day I was chatting to my friends over tea and cake about polish ... of course! I had mentioned that I am starting to think about buying the Harmony Gelish kit and some of their colours for when I launch my business next month. I mentioned that their gel colours are around £25 each and from the following gasps that emanated from the table, you would have thought I'd just admitted to some hideous crime. However it got me thinking, especially with the soon to be released Victoria Beckham x Nails Inc Duo (priced at a whopping £45), is there a standard price point for polish (not gel) that most of us wouldn't go over. For me, buying polish is in the same bracket as a takeaway coffee and the latest Nail It magazine. I will easily spend between £3-£5 and think noting of it, however above that I have to seriously think whether I want to commit to buying something I will no doubt wear once and then use very occasionally, occasionally if it's lucky. Danas ću napokon ispuniti svoje obećanje i napisati ovaj post. Znam da kasnim, ali stvarno nisam stigla prije zbog  raznih obaveza na fakultetu i zato se i ovim putem ispričavam dragoj Mili. #OWWWP (On Wednesday We Wear Pink) A long while ago now I won a competition through Semichem for all the main line Collection nail polishes. I have had these sat in my to swatch pile for a long time and thought I'd break them down into colours to swatch and post. It seemed only fitting then that I do the pinks today's seeing as it's Wednesday ... and all the cool girls wear pink!   The 4 pinks from Collection are stunning, I love the range in tones. There are 3 cremes and 1 shimmer.     First up is Babydoll Pink the first creme of the bunch, which is the softest shade of pink ever. It reminds me of candyfloss and baby blankets. The formula on this was tricky and as the brush bristles are reasonably hard, if you didn't wait between coats, you'd end up smearing the polish underneath. Saying that, 3 thin coats with a period of 4/5mins between coats lead to a gorgeous finish. (*I tend to find that a lot of pastel colours have formula issues so I am not surprised with t...

Not many of you will know that I am a teacher and have been for 4 years. However, as all teachers out there will know, it is a profession (like many) that requires your blood, sweat and tears. I had been thinking about how to make my life easier and more enjoyable all throughout 2014, and it wasn't until I handed my notice in at my last school (with the intention of getting a new job) that I realised I needed to focus on what I loved doing and also give me a creative outlet. So I am now embarking on building up my own business (while doing some supply teaching), which is no mean feat when you consider today's financial climate. It's both exciting and petrifying and although I am the most thorough and organised person, I know even this venture will stretch my skills to the limits. Today I have the gorgeous Models Own 'Microdots', which was released last year. However many brands, including Rimmel, Loreal and 17 have released similar versions and I thought it was about time I featured this beauty on my blog. It has a paint splatter / artsy look which is super fun & makes this a very unique glitter topper.  Microdots contains navy, cyan, yellow, peach & red matte hex glitters in a clear base. I decided to pick out some of the colours of the dots to use as the base. From index to little finger the colours used are Models Own 'Peach Melba', 'Red Lustre', 'Feeling Blue' and 'True Blue'. These in themselves are gorgeously, pop bright colours. I used 1 coat of microdots with some evening out, plus topcoat for the photos below. Njega kože, kako lica tako i ostatka tijela, za mene je jako bitna. Tih desetak minuta, koliko mi treba da očistim kožu i nakon toga nanesem odgovarajuće proizvode meni pruža jedan veliki užitak i jako dobro mi dođe za rješavanje stresa nakon napornog dana ;) Postavu preparative mijenjam dva puta godišnje i to najčešće na jesen i proljeće.Prilikom biranja proizvoda za nadolazeću sezonu jako pomno čitam recenzije onih koji me zanimaju i isprobajem testere, a ukoliko mi se neki proizvod svidi onda stvarno  ne žalim ni kune. Moja koža je mješovita ( masna T-zona i normalni obrazi), često dehidrirana, s proširenim porama i miteserima te aknama u vrijeme PMS-a.
