Barry M Glitterati Swatches & Review

Image
Press Sample So today I have the very sparkly, Glitterati collection from Barry M for you, which was release last week on the 24th September. Ever since I saw this 6 piece in the A/W 2014 Look Book I have been itching to get my hands on it. Barry M do glitter polishes incredibly well and these are no exception. Image taken from Barrym.com They do remind me a little of Models Own Velvet Goth collection in their finish, however these are shearer which means they can be layered over other colours to create a stunning finish. They also have softer colours. Each polish contains a combination of iridescent & holographic glitters in a coloured jelly base. I have swatched these over a solid base colour which is as similar as possible to the jelly base of these nail paints. They dry to a semi matte finish, which is how I left it for the photos. However they also look incredible with a glossy topcoat. Starlet has a bright pink coloured jelly base. I wore 1 coat over Barry M Grapefruit, no t...

Barry M - Persian & Atlantis from the Aquarium Collection

Image
From the 14 new Barry M nail paints released yesterday the 2 new Aquarium additions had me most excited. I love duochromes ... and glitters actually, and the rich jewel tones that paired these 2 is just divine. The Aquarium collection is possibly my fave ever from Barry M. To see the amazingness of the other 6 nail paints in this collection click here . Atlantis is the most scrumptious combination of glitters that I think Barry M has created. There are magenta & teal diamonds, random shaped magenta glitters and large & small silver holo glitters in a clear base. This is 1 coat over Persian and although there was no need to fish for glitters, they did tend to clump a little. Barry M Atlantis over Persian   Barry M Atlantis over Persian Barry M Atlantis over Persian Barry M Atlantis over Persian Persian is the 5th duochrome in the Aquarium collection and possibly my fave. Theres something about a deep purple to gold shift thats so stunning. I used 1 coat over black for this swat...

OMG, I actually can not contain my excitement while I write this post. After announcing that 8 new Barry M nail paints were going to be released on my Instagram feed earlier after snooping around the internet, I have continued my digging and came across Barry M's Autumn/Winter 2014 Look Book published on ISSUU . Have a look at it here to see all the other amazing new Barry M products. I am the biggest Barry M fan and have over 200 of their nail paints, past and present so I am thrilled that there is going to be another 19 new nail paints released before 2014 is out! If you're interested in seeing a list of my Barry M nail paints, this link will take you to my stash spreadsheet . The first page on nail paints in the look book is so delicious, showing 3 rich, gem toned new Silk's. Their names are Orchid, Forest & Poppy. These are out in Superdrug on the 24th September and in Boots on the 1st October priced at £3.99. The next page shows the AW Gellys ... old news now I kn...

Barry M A/W 2014 Tribal Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints

Image
So today I have swatches and a review of the new-ish Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints which have been named by Barry M as the 'Tribal' capsule collection. I actually like the name, it's very fitting with the colours and although none of them super excite me (I like bold rainbow colours) I have developed a soft spot for Barry M's slightly duller hues this year. Barry M A/W 2014 Tribal Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints Image taken from Barry.com First up is Chai, a lovely stormy blue tinted grey, 2 coats with topcoat. Barry M Chai Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Barry M Chai Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Cardamom is a lovely pine tree green. I used 2 coats with topcoat for the photos. Barry M Cardamom Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Barry M Cardamom Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Mustard is Barry M's first foray into yellow in their Gelly range and it did not disappoint.
